Changing your Framer domain while building

Connected a custom domain after you built the site? Your license needs to point at the new domain, not the old staging one.

• Check it any time in the plugin settings under Production URL

• If Production URL doesn't match your custom domain, the banner comes back, because Frameship sees a different site

• To reset it, disconnect both the license and the Shopify connection, then reconnect both

Adding a redirect from Shopify checkout

By default the logo in the Shopify checkout sends people to your Shopify front end, not your Framer site. To change that:

• In Shopify admin, go to Online Store, then Themes

• Click the three dots on your current theme and choose Edit Code

• In the left sidebar, open the layout folder and the theme.liquid file

• Paste this above the closing head tag, swapping in your own domains, then save

Common questions

Why has the banner come back after connecting my domain?

Your license is still attached to the staging URL. Check Production URL in the plugin settings, then disconnect and reconnect both the license and the Shopify connection.

Can my Framer site and Shopify checkout share a domain?

No. They're two separate sites. Your main domain goes on the Framer site, and the checkout can use a subdomain with the same branding. Set the subdomain up with your domain host, then apply it in Shopify's domain settings.
