The Problem

Mobbin is where designers go to find real-world UI inspiration - a meticulously curated library of mobile and web app screenshots used by tens of thousands of product teams worldwide. The brand has serious visual credibility. Any storefront attached to it had to match that standard.

The challenge: Mobbin's team is product-focused, not ecommerce-native. Building a custom merch store from scratch would mean weeks of frontend engineering time, Shopify integration work, and ongoing maintenance. A generic Shopify theme would look completely off-brand.

Sixian evaluated every option: a custom Shopify theme (written in Liquid, very different from React), Framer code components, and Shopify Hydrogen. All of them felt like too much work, and a pain to maintain for non-technical team members.

The Discovery

Sixian and the Mobbin team were already using Framer. The question was how to add a fully functional Shopify storefront without custom code or a separate platform.

The Solution

Sixian built the Mobbin merch store entirely in Framer using 20 Frameship components to power the ecommerce layer - product pages, cart, variant selection, and checkout - all synced directly to Shopify in the backend.

The store launched at merch.mobbin.com with a focused product range: cap, hoodie, tee, and tote. Multi-currency support was built in from the start.
