Shopify storefront

Keep Shopify. Redesign the storefront in Framer.

Shopify runs the best checkout in ecommerce and we are not asking anyone to give that up. We just think the part your customers actually look at should be yours to design.

Checkout stays

Shopify still handles payments, tax and fulfilment

No Liquid

Design on the Framer canvas instead of theme templates

One site

Store and marketing pages in one project, one design system

Shopify storefront designed in Framer using Frameship components

The short version

Shopify is excellent at commerce. A theme is just one way to present it. Frameship connects your live Shopify store to a Framer site, so the back office stays exactly where it is and the front end becomes yours to design.

Checkout, payments, inventory, orders and admin

The Liquid theme and your page builder apps

Brands who want design control without leaving Shopify

Two ways to run a Shopify storefront.
One is a theme. One is a canvas.

Every Shopify store has two halves. The back office handles products, inventory, orders, payments, tax and fulfilment. The storefront is what your customers actually see. Shopify ships both, and that storefront half is a Liquid theme edited through the theme customiser.

The difference is what you design with. A Shopify theme gives you the sections, blocks and settings the theme author chose to expose. Anything outside that means editing Liquid or stacking a page builder app on top. A Framer front end gives you a blank canvas, a real CMS and Frameship components that read your live Shopify data, with the same checkout at the end of it.

Moving a Shopify storefront front end to Framer

That changes how fast you move. A theme change is a theme edit, a preview and a deploy. A Framer change is an edit and a publish. For teams shipping landing pages, seasonal campaigns and new collection pages every week, that gap compounds.

Credit where it’s due: Shopify themes are good, and for plenty of stores they are the right answer. If your store leans on apps that inject into your theme, or you want everything wired up out of the box, stay on a theme. Moving the front end also means mapping your old product and collection URLs across so you keep your search rankings, which is work worth doing properly. We built Frameship for the brands who keep hitting the edge of what a theme allows.

So which should you pick? If your storefront is the thing holding your brand back, and you want to design it without asking a developer or renting a page builder, move the front end to Framer and keep Shopify doing what it does best. Your checkout, your data and your admin do not move.

Frameship connects to your existing Shopify plan. Checkout stays on Shopify.

What changes, and what does not

Your checkout does not move

Customers still check out on Shopify, with Shop Pay, your payment methods, tax rules and fulfilment exactly as they are today.

Two ways to switch

Build the new front end yourself with the switch tool and Frameship components, or buy a Frameship template.

No back office migration

Products, variants, inventory, orders and customers stay in Shopify. Nothing is exported and nothing is re-entered.

One site, one design system

Landing pages, blog and product pages live in the same Framer project, so campaigns stop needing a separate page builder.
